A full kitchen and utility refurbishment in a Blackburn property — out with a dated cream kitchen, in with a warm, characterful shaker scheme that suits the house. We stripped the old kitchen out, laid new large-format grey floor tiling throughout, and fitted a Wren kitchen in soft grey shaker units with solid oak worktops. A central island with oak top gives a breakfast bar and extra prep space, a Belfast double sink sits under the window, and LED lighting under the units lifts the whole room at night. The original exposed brick wall was kept as a feature. We also refitted the separate utility room to match — Belfast sink, oak tops and boxed-in boiler — so the whole space works as one.
